I've decided a while ago i wanted to create a site that would have as its sole purpose to show a selection of my best photos, whether according to subject, composition, colors, texture, light or other - and so, (being cheap and not wanting to have a personal website per se) - I have started this amateur photoblog today. I am by no means a professionnal but I thoroughly enjoy watching and capturing the world we live in through a viewfinder and immortalizing life's banal or exciting moments.
This is meant to force me to be more selective, to try and have a more objective view (less sentimental) in regards to my incessant pointing and shooting, in order to edit out the bad ones - out of the thousands of shots that i now have in my folders and on my flickr account (where i am utterly unable to restrict myself).
hopefully i will succeed in making the right picks. editing is definitely the hardest part, not an easy feat for me to weed out the bad ones from the good ones. You could say the purpose of this site is therefore an exercice in self-restraint and moderation.
Less is more, or so they say.
No blabbing on my part, just letting the images speak for themselves.
Hoping it will be a fun and interesting visit to those who stop by for a peek.
